Ogoni-Andoni-Opobo Unity Road project initiated by former governor Peter Odili who left office in 2007 but completed under Fubara’s administration was inaugurated on May 18th, 2024)

Alaeto-Ogale-Ebube-Eteo Road (Inaugurated May 14, 2024)

The reconstruction project worth ₦6.7bn was awarded on August 14, 2023 to the China Civil Engineering Construction Coordination and Inaugurated on May 14th, 2024 by Gov. Alex Otti of Abia State.

Emohua/Kalabari Tema Junction Road (Inaugurated May 17, 2024

Although initiated by the previous administration in February 2023, the Fubara-led administration paid the #15.2bn balance of the road contract worth ₦21.2 billion and completed 70% of the job.

Beyond infrastructure there is galvanization and restoration in the civil service with backlog of promotions, pensions cleared in addition to readiness to employ 10,000 fresh workers

Port Harcourt Road. March, 2024

H.E Siminalayi Fubara signed N195.3bn contract with Julius Berger for the construction of Port Harcourt Ring Road project. The project when completed would traverse six local government areas of the state, thereby decongesting Port Harcourt.

Trans-Kalabari Road, May, 2024

The ₦222.1bn project is to be funded from Rivers IGR. The road is expected to be completed in 32 months.

Development Agreement with Rainbow Heritage Group for new Port City

the State Executive Council approved the proposal by Rainbow Heritage Group to build the New Port City in the state on about 1000 hectares of land in collaboration with the Greater Port Harcourt City Authority.

Development Agreement with TAF Nigeria Limited

The governor announced the signing of a development agreement with TAF Nigeria Limited for 20,000 mixed houses in Greater Port Harcourt City. Additionally, another agreement was signed with Gosh Nigeria Limited for an international spare parts market. The government provided land equity, and construction has commenced at both locations.

Pipeline Projects

Multi-billion-naira Aluminium Rolling Mill

The Fubara-led administration has approved the acquisition of land by Apache Aluminium LLC of America to establish a multi-billion-naira aluminium rolling mill (plant) in the Ogoni axis of Rivers.

Harmonisation of state and local government taxes

The administration of Gov Fubara is actively pursuing the harmonization of state and local government taxes to eradicate instances of double taxation and the imposition of numerous levies on investors..

Salvaging Agricultural ruins through partnership with Israeli Company

The governor reported that discussions have commenced with Imagine Adama Agricultural and Technology of Israel to harness the state’s abundant agricultural opportunities. The focus is on revitalizing neglected agricultural ventures and upgrading infrastructure to spur agricultural development.

Forest conservation

The governor announced that preparations have been finalized for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Planet One Holding Limited of Dubai. The agreement, valued at $10 million, will establish a Mangrove Forests Conservation and Carbon Capture Project through a Public-Private Partnership framework.
